Choose a taal and tap Play to begin. Use Tuner to set your Sa, Tempo for speed, and Bass to balance the tabla sound.
Tap Presets at the top left to save the current settings or load a saved practice setup. Swipe a saved preset to delete it.
Scroll down for instrument levels, Pa or Ma tanpura tuning, Sur-Peti, and Riyaz's gradual tempo increases.
Tabla playback, all 18 taals, tuning, tempo, bass, tabla volume, presets and Riyaz are free.
One optional purchase, All Instruments, unlocks Tanpura, Sur-Peti and Manjira together for US$2.99 (local prices vary). It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Tap a locked instrument to buy it.
On a new device, or after reinstalling, open Instrument Unlock and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it.
Tanpura and Sur-Peti are drones and can keep playing independently of the tabla rhythm. Switch those off to silence everything.
Check the device volume, the silent switch, and which output your device is using. Then check the instrument levels in the mixer further down the screen.
Yes. All sounds are bundled and no account is needed. Buying or restoring the instrument unlock is the only thing that needs a connection, because it goes through the App Store.
